The United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) is an autonomous research institute within the UN system that undertakes interdisciplinary research and policy analysis on the social dimensions of contemporary development issues. UNRISD’s research strategy until 2025 is focused in reducing inequalities. There are four research programmes: (i) transformative social policy; (ii) gender justice and development; (iii) alternative economies for transformation; (iv) environmental and climate justice.
